September Sky: Your Guide of When To Look Up
It's been a while since I done a blog like this, I did promise you in my previous one, so here's what to watch out for in the night skies this September.

As the wheel turns toward the autumn equinox, the cosmos prepares a symphony of celestial alignments. From planetary dances to the rare glow of the Harvest Moon, join us as we chart the spiritual and physical movements of the night sky this September 2026.
THE SEPTEMBER TRANSITS
Sept 6–14: Planetary Alignment
The Moon meets four planets in a rare visual sequence. This grounded transit is a moment for stabilization and setting long-term intentions.
Sept. 6: Moon near Mars in the pre-dawn sky
Sept. 8: Thin crescent Moon near Jupiter in the morning, from 4am with binoculars you will see the beehive cluster of stars too.
Sept. 12: Extremely thin Moon near Mercury in the evening twilight
Sept. 14: Moon meets brilliant Venus
Sept 10: Uranus Retrograde
 As Uranus begins its inward journey, expect a shift in how you view personal freedom. It is a time for internal breakthrough rather than external rebellion.
Uranus will appear to reverse its motion against the background stars. Located in Taurus and shining at around a magnitude of 5.7, the distant ice giant can be spotted with binoculars under dark skies or more easily with a telescope if you are lucky enough to have one.
Sept 13: Lyncid Meteor Shower
Look to the north for the September Lyncids. These streaks of light remind us to find brilliance in even the quietest corners of our lives. Here's what's happening:Â
Up to 4 meteors per hour under ideal dark skies. Active from September 10th to October 8th. Meteors travel at around 60km a second. Radiant will be in the Constellation Lynx.
Sept 23: The Equinox
 A moment of perfect balance between light and dark. Reflect on the duality of your journey as we transition into the season of harvest.

Sept 26: Neptune at Opposition
Neptune shines its brightest today, heightening intuition and dreamscapes. Trust the whispers of your subconscious during this peak.
The distant blue planet Neptune will be opposite the Sun and visible for much of the night.
Brightness: Magnitude 7.8
Location: Pisces
Best viewed with a telescope or good binoculars
Sept 26: Full Harvest Moon
 Illuminating the fruits of our labor, the Harvest Moon asks what you are ready to gather and what you are ready to release into the night.
September's Full Moon will be the Full Moon closest to the September equinox.
The Moon will shine brightly in the constellation Pisces, creating a beautiful finale to September's celestial calendar.
